Gen was the first friend I had when I started working at Stuzo in Philly. She brought me flowers on National Admin day and baked me a funfetti cake on my birthday. I think the two of us ate the whole thing. When my old boss told me she died I really had no words. It's been a few years now but I vividly remember going to Prohibition Taproom after work to talk about life and splitting a Lindemans Framboise with her. I always saw her in my mind as this brilliant, strong little flame lit in a big black space - I'm not sure why. She was genuine in ways that most people are too afraid to be. For that, I will always thank her. Hope you're resting easy now.

I only just learned of your passing, Genevieve. I'm very sorry you're gone, but I'm happy I have plenty of memories with you.

To my sweet sweet sister.
I do not see well without you. I do not hear as well without you. I do not feel as well without you. I would be better off without a hand or a leg than to be without you. Then at least you would be here to make fun of me and we would be able to laugh about it. I have lost an important part of myself. You will always be in my heart. I miss so much sis, rest in peace and know how much I love you.
